prom night

last night was my year 11 prom, which was actually shockingly good. I mean I'd been expecting it to be one of those lame get-ups due to the copious amounts of teachers there were going to be present and probably trying to get 'down with the kids' in good old fashion. But actually the teachers kept to themselves an appropriate amount so that it was all well spirited when they actually joined us. The girls dresses weren't much like a typical American prom scene which I actually quite liked because everything seemed less generic and more charismatic in general. This morning we woke up at my friends house and our feet hurt so much from non-stop dancing in heels and general heel wearing for a good seven hours at least, so naturally first thing we walked to Sainsbury's in comfy shoes and old flip-flops to try and give our feet a break. We must have looked the part, last nights make-up strewn to places which defy the laws of gravity, general slow motion walking due to lack of sleep and energy drainage, that's not to mention the exclamation of pain from using our poor feet at every step. Despite the above, it was worth it for the cooked breakfast we had waiting for us at the other end.
All in all, a very enjoyable night to end the last five years.
